Literature Text

There's a story, about a king
He is strong as the inferno
Mind like a storm, forceful, feared
Swift as the tempest at night, unseen
You'll not know his highness is there until he is upon you
His eyes burn like intense fires, consuming those who look
His soul is the honoured soul of an emperor, timeless and wise
His crown of stripes marks his regality, setting him apart from false kings
His name is feared and respected at the same time, everybody knows it
And his titles are many. King, prince, sultan, thane, all marks of respect
Nobody dares challenge the king, all who do fail
The false pretender must fall
Make way for the Tiger
The real King of the Beasts
This poem is dedicated to the most regal of animals, the tiger. It being my symbol in many ways, I just had to write a poem for it. Sure, it's not the best, but it's something eh? ^_^;

Nicely put. Makes me think of those ode poems, like "Ode to Salt" and "Ode to Socks". Perfect depiction of the King of Beasts.
